Niagara Insurance Brokers was founded in 1980 by Art Bull, who brought with him 24 years of experience as an insurance adjuster and a passion for building something of his own. Guided by values of family, community, and personalized service, Art and his wife, Ann Elise, established a brokerage committed to putting people first.

In 1983, their son Chris joined the family business, continuing the tradition of strong customer relationships and integrity. Together with his wife Cheryl, they purchased the brokerage from Art and Ann Elise in 1997, ensuring the next generation would uphold the same principles that built the company.

As we grew, we remained grounded in our values. In 2012, two major milestones marked a new chapter in our journey. We welcomed Zach Bull, a third-generation family member, to the team as a licensed broker. That same year, we merged with another long-standing, family-run brokerage: AG Richardson Insurance Brokers.

This partnership brought Paul Richardson—a seasoned broker with over 30 years of experience—into our office, and expanded the number of reputable insurance companies we represent, many of which have served Canadians for over a century.

As the business continued to evolve, Zach’s involvement brought fresh perspective and continuity to the company’s legacy.

In 2022, Zach Bull officially took over ownership of Niagara Insurance Brokers, becoming the third generation to lead the family business. Under his leadership, the company expanded its reach by acquiring F.E. Coyne Insurance Brokers. This strategic growth brought together two well-established brokerages, combining over 150 years of industry experience to better serve our clients with knowledgeable, personalized service.
